The holidays are over and it’s cold here in New York. After the craziness of the holidays, it’s kind of a letdown; particularly here on the East Coast where it’s cold and dreary. On the other side of the coin, I can’t imagine Christmas in a climate like Florida or California. It would feel strange not to have snow or cold weather.
It was Isabella’s first Christmas and she didn’t know what was going on with all the people in the house. The kids were excited about getting all their gifts. It’s priceless looking at their faces when they open up their presents.
New Year’s Eve was another family event. During the day the kids played the game “Pie Face.” You put whipped cream on the lever and have to spin to see how many turns you get. Then you get to see if the whipped cream is launched at your face or the next person. Luke had a ball. He wanted to be hit with the cream.
We all waited for the ball to drop. It was the first New Year’s Eve celebration that Luke stayed up for…he’s only five years old. He enjoyed it and so did Sonny and Nico. They drove us a little bit crazy with all the horn blowing…
Before you know it, it will be Spring…it’s not that far away. The seasons seem to go by so fast. It’s already the middle of January. We’re patiently waiting for the nice weather to arrive. Every winter we say we’re going to move to a warmer climate so we don’t have to deal with the snow and ice. Maybe one day we will actually do it.
Until next time….
